Please join the Innovation Corner session where you can learn how you can engage with UM Ventures, what services and opportunities are available to you, and how to access them. Dr. Kan Cao, Associate Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics, will share her story and experience working with UM Ventures to launch a startup while maintaining and building a successful research program and teaching load. This is a great chance to learn more about how a biological science degree is useful in building a career, while also networking with professionals representing a range of organizations from federal agencies to biotechnology companies. Two meetups are being held throughout the day to accommodate student schedules; the same employers are anticipated at both sessions.
